  • Flaxseed oil is derived from the flax plant, Linum usitatissimum (which means “very useful”).
  • It is one of the oldest crops known to humanity and has been cultivated since the beginning of civilization.
  • The ALA provided by flaxseed oil cannot be made by the human body.
