Oxisol Supplement Facts
- A broad spectrum antioxidant for the neutralization of free radicals and reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (ROS, RNS) thought to be responsible for oxidative stress*
- Oxidative stress occurs when the amount of free radicals, including ROS and RNS, exceeds the body’s genetically-coded defenses (antioxidants) to maintain a balanced state. It affects the immune, cardiovascular, nervous, and endocrine systems. Oxisol supports balance between antioxidants and ROS/RNS. Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) preserves long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids found in cell membranes and supports glutathione activity by increasing expression of phase II liver enzymes and glutathione regeneration. Vitamins A, D, and K, along with ALA, reduce ROS levels. Mixed tocopherols are included for additional ROS neutralizing support. The combination may help prevent depletion of antioxidants. Oxisol may be recommended for individuals with oxidative stress symptoms or SNPs in antioxidant-defense genes.
